Trove is a drop off point again this year for Share The Dignity’s “It’s in the Bag” campaign between Saturday, 19th November and Saturday, 3rd December.

Through It’s in the Bag, Share the Dignity aims to make women in need feel special at Christmas time.

“The “It’s in the Bag” Christmas campaign idea came to us when we realised that we seem to manage the needs of children at Christmas, ensuring they’re cared for and made to feel special, but the same can’t always be said for those women who put the needs of others before their own. We wanted to make them feel special.

And so the campaign began – we asked Australians to donate a handbag they no longer used, fill it with items that would make a woman feel special and even pop a thoughtful note into the bag to show her that someone cares and that she matters.”

We had a huge response to this campaign when we were a drop off point last year and would love to make it an even better year this year. So, from Saturday 19th November to Saturday 3rd December grab an unwanted handbag and pop in some new and unopened goodies such as lotions, jewellery, a hair brush, personal care items, a movie voucher – whatever you believe will be appreciated. Please, however, no food, pharmaceuticals or sharps.

If you can only donate bags in good condition, or items to go inside the bags, then we can combine them to complete the bags.
