It’s our Birthday
August 2018 marks four years since the opening of Trove Canberra, and what a journey it has been. Trove began when a group of local Canberra designers started talking about how opening a shop front would be a wonderful way to bring their wares to the community. “My idea was a pop up shop for a month or two with other local designers I had met through Etsy”, says Theresa from A Little Bird Made Me. “After the initial idea started moving and I had had some early input, I had to pull out of Trove for family reasons. The rest of the group went on to create this amazing venture that has supported, launched and promoted so many local artists and designers over the last 4 years. What an achievement! The fact that I can now be a member of Trove is testament to the hard work that they put in to establish the cooperative in a sustainable way.”
When Trove first opened its doors in 2014 at Lonsdale Street Traders in Braddon, it was home to 7 designers. This was always a temporary location due to redevelopment of the area. The shop then migrated to Gold Creek Village, which we soon outgrew, and then moved on to the bustling Bunda Street in Civic. Today we have flourished to a vibrant community of 30 members, supporting one another in business and bringing an array of handmade goodies to the Canberra community.

Our opening hours are 10am-4pm Monday to Saturday. Plus open until 8pm on Fridays.
